Jessica McConahey

Major: Biochemistry and Psychology; PreMed
Year: Sophomore

This is Jessica’s second year winning our scholarship! And after her first year at OU, her passion for medicine has grown to include both psychology and emergency medicine. And she tells us that she now wants to become a neurosurgeon. She has spent the past year working very hard to show us how much she deserved this scholarship and that she was worth our investment. Well, yes, Jessica. You are worth it! She says, “The amazing people at the OU Club of Collin County will never know just how much motivation it gave me to know that there are people out there who believe in me!”

Katie Primrose

Major: Health and Exercise Science/Pre-Occupational Therapy
Year: Sophomore

Katie is winning this scholarship for this first time. She is currently training to go to occupational therapy school to work in an elementary school or rehab clinic to help people as they try to live their lives without physical limitations. She is overwhelmed that this Sooner Family believes her and her goals. “I am so thankful to have the privilege to attend the greatest university on earth, and can truly say that if a lifetime of being a Sooner is anything like my freshman year, I can hardly wait!” she says.

Macy Oltmann

Major: Education
Year: Freshman

We are proud to award a scholarship to Macy as she pursues a degree in education. After graduation, she would like to return to Texas to teach middle or high school English. She is excited to receive this scholarship to help keep her focused on her goals throughout college. She says, “Thank you so much for giving me this scholarship. It is going to help me in so many different ways, and I am honored to receive this.”

Katy Armstrong

Congratulations to Katy for this award! After graduation, Katy plans to work for a global company specializing in marketing research and says, our scholarship has helped make her dream of going to OU possible. “Ever since I toured OU, I knew that was where I was supposed to be. I can’t wait to start at the University of Oklahoma in the fall!”
